Colorado State University Campus Recreation to Host Halloween Activities Oct. 27

Colorado State University’s Student Recreation Center will host its first annual “Rec-O-Ween” celebration from 5-9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27.

Participants are encouraged to come to the event dressed in costume. Several fun Halloween-themed recreational activities will include:

• Costume Climb: 5-7 p.m., Student Rec Center Climbing Wall
• Ride-for-a-Prize, Cycling Class: 7-8 p.m., Student Rec Cycle Studio
• Learn the Thriller Dance: 8-9:30 p.m., Student Rec MAC Gym
• Michael Jackson Dance-Off: 9:20 p.m., Student Rec MAC Gym

As in previous years, the “Thriller” dance event will teach participants of all dance abilities the complete Michael Jackson “Thriller” dance.

Prizes will be awarded to the participant with the best costume, the top costume climbers, ride-for-a-prize cyclists, and the best dancer at the Michael Jackson dance-off. Door prizes also will be awarded, including ski rental prizes and gift certificates from JAX Sporting Goods.

Students, staff, faculty and the CSU community are invited to participate in “Rec-O-Ween” at no cost. Prior registration is not required.

The “Rec-O-Ween” event is coordinated by Colorado State University’s Campus Recreation department. Through its programming, Campus Recreation aims to enhance the lifestyles of CSU students through health and fitness opportunities.
