Colorado State University President Tony Frank will deliver his Fall Address on Thursday, Sept. 15, at the university’s historic Oval. He will address the state of the university and the vision for the institution for the coming year and beyond.

DETAILS:
The university community is invited to gather at the Oval at 11:15 a.m. with the Colorado State Marching Band. Frank will begin his comments at 11:30 a.m. from the south end of the Oval. This year’s Fall Address also will be the official kickoff of National Hispanic Heritage Month, which will include a proclamation from Fort Collins Mayor Karen Weitkunat.

Immediately following the address will be the annual all-university picnic, a long-standing tradition for the campus community celebrating and promoting the spirit and diversity of Colorado State. Picnic entertainment will be provided by Quemando Salsa Orquesta, a contemporary salsa band from Colorado performing as part of the National Hispanic Heritage Month kickoff.

The President’s Fall Address and University Picnic were first held in September 1997 as a thank-you to the university community for pulling together in the aftermath of a devastating flood. The event has been a university tradition ever since.
