Colorado State University Announces Free Admission for Qualifying Disabled Military Veterans to Performing Arts and Athletic Events

Colorado State University is proud to announce that, as recognition of service and sacrifice of U.S. military veterans, the University will begin to offer free admission to selected CSU performing arts and athletics events for veterans who received a disability rating of 50 percent or more from the Veterans Administration.

This marks another effort by Colorado State University to maintain its position as a leader among military-friendly colleges and universities in Colorado and across the nation.

“These veterans have made incredible sacrifices in service to our nation, and this is one simple way we can show them how much we appreciate all they have done,” said President Tony Frank. “Quite honestly, it is just a good idea, and we wanted to get it done.”

This offer is open to all veterans who were honorably discharged and have a 50 percent or more disability rating. Qualifying veterans are asked to bring their DD-214 and their VA letter detailing their disability rating to the Office of Adult Learners and Veteran Services for verification. Once verified, eligible veterans can contact the CSU Athletics Box Office and the University Center for the Arts Box Office for a list of events for which tickets may be redeemed.

Two tickets (one for a veteran and one for their guest) can be redeemed for each event. Listings of events for which eligible disabled veterans may obtain tickets are available on the University Center for the Arts’ box office website at www.csuartstickets.com and the CSU Athletics’ box office website at www.csurams.com.
