The school is located about one hour west of Fort Collins following County Road 74E.

Details:

CSU’s popular Little Shop of Physics and two programs affiliated with the Department of Atmospheric Science – the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere and the Center for Multiscale Modeling of Atmospheric Processes – will offer fun activities for kids and adults.

Also on hand will be special telescope equipment for viewing the transit, which is similar to an eclipse of the planet Venus as it crosses between the Earth and the sun, beginning at around 4:15 p.m. This rare event only occurs about once every 117 years.
