Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity: CSU Little Shop of Physics to Display 150 Experiments in Texas for Audience of 10,000

Students associated with Colorado State University’s acclaimed Little Shop of Physics program have packed and ship about 150 experiments to Edinburg, Texas where they’ll visit with more than 4,000 children and some 6,000 community members as part of the Hispanic Engineering, Science and Technology Education Week Sept. 24-29 at the University of Texas, Pan-American, which is near the U.S.-Mexico border.

Little Shop will represent the multi-institutional Center for Multiscale Modeling of Atmospheric Processes, which is based at Colorado State, and the National Science Foundation.

Hispanic Engineering, Science and Technology Education Week addresses the critical shortage of scientists and engineers in the United States by promoting science, technology, engineering and math, known as STEM, careers among predominantly Hispanic South Texas students.
