Katharine Wilkinson to Discuss Relationship Between Evangelicals and the Environment at Colorado State University

Katharine Wilkinson, an expert on climate change and how it is viewed by religious leaders, will speak Thursday at Colorado State University about her new book, “Between God and Green: How Evangelicals Are Cultivating a Middle Ground on Climate Change.”

The hour-long lecture, set for 4:15 p.m. in Room 212 of the Shephardson Building on CSU’s campus, is free and open to the public.

Wilkinson will focus on how evangelical leaders, once considered disconnected from the topic, are embracing the notion of climate change. Wilkinson, a Rhodes Scholar, will discuss how many evangelicals are working both sides of the political aisle in an effort to foster policy change on environmental issues.

Wilkinson’s talk is sponsored by CSU’s Department of Political Science, the Department of Philosophy, ChangingClimates@CSU and the School of Global Environmental Sustainability.
