Colorado State University to Host Animal Behavior Conference Saturday March 2

Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences will host a Behavior Symposium for pet owners the morning of Saturday March 2.

The event will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with registration and breakfast at 8:30 a.m. in Rooms 118/120 of the Animal Cancer Center, James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital, 300 W. Drake Road in Fort Collins. Space is limited so RSVPs are encouraged at behaviorcsu@gmail.com. The event is free and open to the public:

9 a.m. – Dr. Rebecca Ruch-Gallie, community practice veterinarian at CSU, who will talk about managing cats who don’t use the litter box.

10 a.m. – Harline Larkey, Pawswise Dog Training, who will talk about behavioral enrichment for dogs.

11 a.m. – Dr. Jennie Willis, CSU behaviorist and Coloradoan columnist, who will talk about the seven habits of successful pets; teaching your pet how to do better with nail trims, car rides, going to the vet and more.

The event is sponsored by the Colorado State University Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behaviorists.
