Former Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, Jr. Praises Ron Binz for his Contributions

Former Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, Jr, director of the Center for the New Energy Economy, lauded Ron Binz today for his contributions to energy policy in America. “We are very proud of the leadership and vision Ron Binz demonstrated as chairman of the Colorado Public Utilities Commission, and, subsequently, as a senior policy advisor with the Center for the New Energy Economy at Colorado State University.”

The Center for the New Energy Economy works directly with governors, state energy offices, regulators and policy makers to provide technical assistance on policies and strategies that will facilitate America’s transition to a New Energy Economy. “Because of the work my Center engages in with states in designing energy policy and given the pending U.S. Senate confirmation hearing process, Ron Binz and the Center have mutually agreed to discontinue our relationship in order to avoid any conflict of interest. We wish Ron the very best and we look forward to his leadership at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.”

Binz served as a senior policy advisor with the Center for the New Energy Economy from July 1, 2011, to July 1, 2013. For more information on the Center for the New Energy Economy, please visit: http://cnee.colostate.edu/
