CAM Screams for Ice Cream: CSU Invites All to Join in on the Fun at the Community Open House and Ice Cream Social

Colorado State University would like to invite community members and families — along with faculty, staff and students — to the first-ever Community Open House and Ice Cream Social 4-6:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Lory Student Center West Lawn.

“Colorado State University has a wonderful home here in Fort Collins, and this is our chance to thank all our neighbors and friends in the community for their support and the warm welcome they provide our students throughout the year,” said CSU President Tony Frank. “We want to encourage everyone to come out and enjoy a great summer night on campus. We hope to see a lot of our faculty, staff, alumni and supporters – along with those who may be new to the community or who haven’t been on campus for some time.”

The event features remarks from President Frank, free ice cream and beverages, games, campus tours, prizes, music and interactive booths from divisions and colleges across campus. CSU’s Office of the President and the Coloradoan Media Group are co-sponsors of this community event.

Following the ice cream social, students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to attend the Lagoon Concert following at 6:30 p.m. with Amplified Souls. Based along the Front Range, the band plays classic and current pop, rock, blues and anthems.
