Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity: Former Steelers Wide Receiver Hines Ward to speak tonight as part of Asian/Pacific Islander Month

Hines Ward, former wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, first Korean American Super Bowl MVP and 2011 Dancing with the Stars winner, appears as the keynote for Asian/Pacific Islander Awareness Month at Colorado State University. Ward will talk about his biracial identity and the challenges he had to overcome throughout his NFL career.

Hines Ward is speaking as part of Colorado State University’s Asian/Pacific Islander Awareness Month. The month, put on by the Asian/Pacific American Student Association, features rich entertainment, food, speakers and even a Hawaiian lu’au.
