CSU’s College of Business ranked best for veterans by Military Times

Colorado State University’s College of Business is ranked among the top business schools for veterans by Military Times. The college ranks No. 29, the highest in Colorado in the new Best for Vets: Business Schools 2016 ranking.

Military Times evaluated 180 schools, looking at university culture, student support, academic outcomes and quality, academic policies and financial aid. Only participating institutions who offer graduate business degrees were considered.

“We are honored to be recognized by Military Times as a Best for Vets Business School,” said Sanjay Ramchander, associate dean for academic programs in CSU’s College of Business. “For years we have worked to increase academic and financial support for student veterans enrolled at CSU’s College of Business. I’m proud of our work to improve the student experience for these brave women and men.”

Military Times, made up of Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times, focused on culture and curriculum that cater to military veterans when conducting and scoring the fourth annual survey.

Recent Master of Accountancy graduate and veteran Rick Dixon echoed the importance of support from professors when looking back at his CSU experience.

“I knew how amazing the MAcc students were,” said Dixon. “I wasn’t sure I could be successful at that level. I’m extremely fortunate. Our university has tremendous professors and people who support veterans.”

“Veterans have told us they were attracted to a business degree because it wouldn’t tie them down to a certain industry,” said Amanda Miller, editor of Best for Vets. “The survey lets us recognize the graduate business schools with close military connections that truly take vets’ success to heart.”

CSU’s College of Business also ranked among the top 50 in the nation for Best Online MBA Programs for Veterans by U.S. News and World Report this year.
