CSU president leads community tours to Salida and Frisco

Colorado State University President Tony Frank will lead a community outreach visit to Salida and Frisco on Tuesday, May 31, and Wednesday, June 1, to connect the University with alumni, CSU families, community leaders and interested residents.

Frank will be joined by CSU officials including Kristi Bohlender, executive director of the CSU Alumni Association, and Tom Milligan, vice president for external relations. They will be meeting with county commissioners, Rotary clubs, and Colorado State University Extension staff, as well as hosting several public events for alumni and the community.

“We’re looking forward to another summer on the road visiting with people across Colorado who are invested in their state university,” Frank said. “Our CSU mission is to serve the people of Colorado, and through these face-to-face conversations, we gain valuable information that helps us better fulfill that mission and better support our state’s communities through research, outreach and access to education.”

The schedule for public events includes:
• Free community reception hosted by the CSU Alumni Association, 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, SteamPlant Event Center, 220 W. Sackett Ave., Salida.
• Free community reception hosted by the CSU Alumni Association, 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, at the Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant, 182 Lusher Ct., Frisco.

There is no cost to attend the alumni events, but reservations are requested. Anyone interested in attending can visit www.alumni.colostate.edu or call (877) 498-7787(877) 498-7787 FREE for more information and to RSVP.
