The FoCoMX music festival lineup — featuring more than 300 bands at more than 30 Fort Collins venues in late April — will be announced Friday, March 16, at a special concert event at Odell Brewing Co. sponsored by The Colorado Sound, 105.5 FM. The event will be held from 3 to 6 p.m.

Edison, a Colorado band currently on a national tour, and Shuck Wagon, including members of the popular band Woodbelly, will play at the free event, which will include the unveiling of the full festival lineup and schedule. In addition, Odell Brewing will serve the newly created Colorado Sound beer — 105 Pint 5, Listener Powered Ale, brewed in honor of the radio station’s second anniversary on the air.

At the event, wristbands for access to all FoCoMX venues will be sold for $25, a $10 discount from the $35 regular price. The festival is set for April 27 and 28.

About FoCoMX

FoCoMX, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, has been called “The Biggest Little Festival in America.” It is presented by the nonprofit Fort Collins Musicians Association and annually features some of the biggest musical names in the region on the stages of Fort Collins.

In addition, the festival is planning a series of kickoff concerts in March and April featuring Colorado bands that will play FoCoMX and which will also feature discount wristbands.

On April 19, at the Colorado State University Ramskeller in the Lory Student Center, the national touring act Slow Caves will headline a show that also features the popular recording artists Write Minded, along with locals Fjord Collins. This event starts at 3 p.m. and will feature special discounted festival wristbands for CSU students, priced at only $15, or $20 off the regular price. Other kickoff concerts featuring $25 wristbands, with bands and some starting times to be announced, include:

  • March 30, High Hops Brewing, 5-7 p.m.
  • April 7, Intersect Brewing, time TBD
  • April 14, Zwei Brewing, time TBD
  • April 22, OttoPint, time TBD

Free wristbands are also available for being part of this volunteer-run festival: Volunteers dedicating four or more hours of their time get free admission all weekend. Sign up to volunteer at: http://focomx.focoma.org/
