Audrey Shillington is a professor and director of the School of Social Work. Her research focuses on substance abuse and high-risk sexual behaviors among children and young adults. In addition to teaching, Shillington is a research investigator for the Center for Behavioral Epidemiology and Community Health and the associate director for the Center for Alcohol and Drug Studies and Services.
Shillington received her B.A. in psychology, history and sociology from Drury University in 1982. She then studied social work at Washington University, earning her M.S.W. in 1987 and her Ph.D. in 1991. Shillington also holds an M.P.E. in education and human resource studies from the same institution.
