Jason Sibold

Jason Sibold

Jason Sibold is an associate professor in the Department of Anthropology and Geography. His research focuses on biogeography, disturbance ecology, fire history, human land use, climate variability and change, conservation and forest ecosystems of the American West and southern South America. Sibold received the College of Liberal Arts Excellence in Teaching Award in 2010.

Sibold studied geography at the University of Colorado Boulder. He earned his B.A. in 1998, his M.A. in 2001, and his Ph.D. in 2005. Sibold is a member of the Association of American Geographers and the Ecological Society of America.
