Laurie Stargell
Laurie Stargell is a professor and chair of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology . Her research focuses on investigating the regulation of gene expression in yeast; specifically, using S. cerevisiae as a model system with the hope of understanding how the transcription machinery interfaces with chromatin to regulate gene expression in living cells.
Stargell earned her Ph.D. from the University of Rochester.
