Arabic languate and culture

Hirchi studies the relationship of literature, culture and politics in the Middle East, and issues relating to the evolution of the modern Arabic world.

A member of the faculty in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures, Hirchi’s areas of focus are Arabic and French language and the literatures and cultures of North Africa, the Middle East, Africa, the Caribbean and France.

Hirchi developed the Arabic program in the College of Liberal Arts and is involved with International Studies at CSU. He has led students on Education Abroad courses in Morocco and France.

Hirchi completed his B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. at Indiana University and his MBA at Colorado State, as well as studying in Switzerland and France.
