Robin Reid is the director of the Center for Collaborative Conservation and a professor in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Sustainability. Her research focuses on collaborative conservation, land management, rangeland ecology, pastoral systems, international development and sustainability. Reid published a book called Savannas of Our Birth, charting human origins in East Africa and where we are going in the future. She also works on the “female tsunami” of female leaders who are building their communities and conservation worldwide. Previously, Reid led research, education and outreach on conservation and development issues for the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in Nairobi, Kenya.
Reid earned her Ph.D. in rangeland ecosystem science from CSU in 1992.
