Chakaia Booker, a New York artist who uses slices of discarded tires to assemble sculptures of dazzling complexity and grace, will spend two days next week at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. She will present a free lecture from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Griffin Concert Hall in the University Center for the Arts, 1400 Remington St., and sign books at a reception afterward.
