A study conducted by a CSU sociologist found that the culture of conservation created by staff and students at Rocky was enough to reduce electricity use at the 37-year-old school. Rocky used 6 to 7 percent less electricity in 2008 and 2009 than Fossil Ridge High School, a facility built in 2004 and designed as energy-efficient.
