Veterinarian Raegan Wells and her colleagues at Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences found the risk of emergency room visits was 23 per cent higher for cats and 28 per cent higher for dogs when the moon is at its three fullest stages – waxing gibbous, full and waning gibbous.
