The panelists – Don Elliman, executive director, Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade; Brent Hathaway, dean, University of Wyoming College of Business; Martin Shields, associate professor of economics, Colorado State University; Patty Silverstein, economist, Denver Metro Economic Development Corp.; and Richard Wobbekind, director of the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado at Boulder – presented a diverse range of views but echoed similar sentiments on many of the industries that will make up the region’s future and the hurdles that need to be overcome to get there.
