Colorado scientists thought this species was in trouble. It turned out to not be a species at all.

Coloradoan: Research teams from Colorado State University, the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest and the U.S. Geological Survey hunted for the Arapahoe snowfly in other areas and found it in more than a dozen other spots in Larimer, Boulder and Jefferson counties, said Matt Fairchild, study co-author and a fish biologist with the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests.
