“Overall the tropical Atlantic looks like it’s in a quite conducive mode for there to be several more of these classic Cape Verde systems,” said Phil Klotzbach, meteorologist with Colorado State University’s Tropical Meteorology Project. Klotzbach specializes in seasonal forecasting and recently began to issue 14-day outlooks.
