Coloradoan: Not in 2014, when Larimer County voters handed the Colorado State University alumnus his Senate seat by a margin of 0.35% — 539 votes. He won that race by about 2.5% statewide, eking out a win over then-incumbent Sen. Mark Udall by promising that “when my party is wrong, I’ll say it.”
