Sub-zero temperatures and treacherous driving conditions kept most of the fans away Wednesday night and forced the CSU men’s basketball team to leave Fort Collins two hours earlier than they had planned. Yet Colorado State University flexed its newfound defensive muscle early, never lost its focus and came up with a huge victory, 83-73, over the Cowboys in the Mountain West Conference opener for both teams.
