“Anniversaries are a big deal when it comes to trauma, tragedies, and really negative events,” said Michael Steger. Steger is an Associate Professor of Counseling Psychology and Applied Social Psychology at CSU, and says the traumatic experience of 9-11 can be devastating even ten years later.
