“We’re going to have a good football team as the season moves along,” McElwain said at his weekly news conference Monday. “When you break down the hurt of the loss, there was more encouragement and learning in some of the things that occurred. We responded pretty well after halftime. I don’t think we played our best, but we played a team that is pretty darned good. There are some things that we definitely will improve on and it will start in our practices.”
