Janay DeLoach could have stayed in Europe after competing in meets in Paris and Lucerne, Switzerland, earlier this month, hidden away somewhere while she focused on last-minute training for the 2012 Summer Olympics.

The former CSU standout is one of the top long-jumpers in the world and hoping to win a medal when the long-jump competition begins Aug. 7. And she admits the travel to and from Europe takes a toll on her physically.
