Here in Colorado’s Grand Valley, a handful of grape growers – under the guidance of Colorado State University – began deploying Adcon weather stations in 2002 as part of an experimental program. Six are scattered across half a dozen private vineyards. One station is located on CSU’s own research vineyard. The network stretches about 17 miles, from Canyon Wind Cellars to a private vineyard in Grand Junction that grows grapes but doesn’t produce wine.
