“If it’s grown in the ground, it’s handled and packaged by other people, so we need to clean it. You wouldn’t wash your hands, or your dishes, with only water,” says Ibrahim, who founded Eat Cleaner with expertise from her father, Shawki Ibrahim, a retired professor of environmental sciences at Colorado State University.
