A donation of a cattle feed yard research facility in Lamar will help Colorado State University beef up its animal science programs, the university announced Wednesday. Five Rivers Ranch Cattle Feeding LLC donated the feed yard, which will be named the Southeastern Colorado Research Center. It has an estimated value of $2.5 million and is the second-largest gift ever presented to the Department of Animal Sciences.
