Before A&M College became Colorado State University, teams were known as Aggies, a term also used to identify students. For as long as most of us can remember, a prominent hill west of town has been decorated with a large white “A,” a symbol easily taken for granted as simply part of the landscape. It is, but there is a story behind those painted rocks.
