For Douglas County youth, stock show competition a chance to grow

Outlet:

Sixteen-year-old Rachelle Quinn was one of about 10 youth from Douglas County to show animals at the National Western Stock Show, which goes through this weekend at the National Western Complex in Denver.
“It’s a great opportunity to be able to show at the stock show,” said Brenda Kwang, a 4-H extension agent at the Douglas County Colorado State University extension office. “For some kids, it’s just showing at a national level so if they’re competitive at it, it’s a real prestigious thing.”
