Forecast calls for more fiscal woes in Colorado


Just one month after they crushed a proposed tax hike for K-12 education, Colorado voters may have little appetite for news about the state’s long-term budgetary challenges. But those challenges are real, and have less to do with any goal of boosting funding for schools than with maintaining existing services over the next decade.
Like it or not, the spoilsports at the Colorado Futures Center are back this week with an update of the grim long-term budgetary forecast they offered two years ago.
