Funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act will fund projects to address fuels mitigation, forest restoration, creating and implementing community wildfire protection plans and helping increase and retain jobs in the forest industry, said Jeff Jahnke, state forester and director of the Colorado State Forest Service, an agency of the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University.
