“I’m not really surprised by those figures,” said developer Eric Holsapple, who is executive director of the Everitt Real Estate Center at Colorado State University’s College of Business. “Our market generally is doing very well. A lot of jobs have been created, there has been good economic growth and we’ve had low unemployment.

“Northern Colorado didn’t really suffer as much as other areas. We have such a good presence with Colorado State, and Northern Colorado and CU are not far away. So we’ve been a little bit insulated from the downturn.”
