Poinsettia growers Paul Ecke III and his sister Lizbeth are both graduates of Colorado State University. They are thrilled that their alma mater is in the inaugural San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. Ecke will supply the stadium with about 1,000 poinsettia plants, and is using nontoxic paints to turn some of the flowers green and gold (Colorado’s colors) and others blue and gold (Navy’s).
