Husted: Local Kentucky Derby charity party draws boatload of guests, raises boatload of money


It was started when Sean “Ranch” Lough died in a mountain bike accident. His best pals, Denverites Scott Anderson and Terrance Hunt, decided to throw a charity Kentucky Derby party to raise some scholarship money in his honor. That first year, they passed around a milk jug, collecting a spare buck or two. Now, each year, they send a student through Colorado State University for four years, full freight.
