Telluride News: In 2001, Ridgway resident and Colorado State University faculty member Peggy Lyons documented the native plants along the river and made suggestions about how to procure them for the river restoration project. Her work was through the Colorado National Heritage Program, and she also worked with volunteers to cut willow whips for planting.
