Last year, she harvested 12,000 pounds of food, most of which was sold to the Lucile’s restaurants, but more than 1,000 pounds of which went to Community Food Share. Richards works closely with the Colorado State University Extension Office to find hardy varieties of plants and learn about watering and fertilization techniques.
