Nursery association says threat from Oak Borer beetle exaggerated

Outlet:

Oak Borer, a native pest, was first detected in the Denver area in 2003 in the midst of the drought and following the major spring storm that damaged many trees. Professional arborists, including city foresters along the front range, Colorado State University experts, and Colorado Department of Agriculture experts have all indicated the pest is no longer a threat to the area.
