Patient thrower Williams ready for NCAA Regional

Tyson Williams could have gone to any number of NCAA Division II schools in Colorado and the surrounding states to compete in the shot put and discus after high school and received some financial assistance to do so. But Williams wanted more, both academically and athletically. So he came to CSU as a walk-on after graduating from Fruita Monument High School on Colorado’s Western Slope to pursue a degree in accounting and to work with one of the top throws coaches in the country, Colorado State University track and field coach Brian Bedard.
