Students in Karolin Luger’s freshman molecular biology class sometimes notice when her name comes up in their textbooks. Sometimes they don’t. Luger, a Colorado State University professor since 1999, is cited in just about every modern textbook of biochemistry and microbiology for her breakthrough work to understand the structure of DNA.
