Mountain Town News: The study authors, Brad Udall of Colorado State University and Jonathan Overpeck, now of the University of Michigan, pointed to rising temperatures in the 21st century of 1.6 degrees Fahrenheit as a substantial cause of the reduced flows. They predicted further declining water flows in the Colorado River Basin of 35 percent or more during this century.
