Stephen Reynolds, a Colorado State University professor with a doctorate in environmental health, has been working with others to determine at what levels fugitive dust becomes a danger to human health. He said those who work in dusty conditions, especially those in confined spaces like feed yards and dairies, could be more susceptible to respiratory illnesses.
