Range expert: No grazing on Logan County Wildfire-burned pastures for 2-3 years


Don Schoderbek, range management specialist for Colorado State University’s Regional Engagement Center in Sterling, ranchers should be able to put cattle back on the grassland in two or three years, depending on conditions, but even then it would be at a reduced rate. Schoderbek said he toured the Logan County burn area on Tuesday and was shocked by the amount of erosion already taking place.
