Colorado State University researchers led by Lakshmi Prasad Dasi in the School of Biomedical Engineering and Department of Mechanical Engineering are developing replacement heart valves that promise to be superior to current mechanical and tissue-based heart valves and also reduce the need for medication to prevent blood clots, CSU recently announced.
