Ripe for keepin’: Tomatoes are perfect for canning, freezing or drying

To turn red, tomatoes need sustained temperatures of 78 to 86 degrees, says Robert Cox, horticulturist with CSU Extension, Arapahoe County. So, weather permitting, your tomatoes should be turning red right about now.
