“We’re trying to understand the biology, what’s going on, how the beetle is transmitting the fungus, how the fungus is attacking the tree,” said Ned Tisserat, professor of bioagricultural sciences and pest management at CSU. “Because if we can figure that out, then we might be able to recommend strategies for controlling it.”
